Area Information
Located in northeast Florida's Flagler County, Palm Coast is home to beautiful beaches and numerous leisure activities. This area showcases 19 miles of beaches along the Atlantic Ocean, frontage on and access to the Intracoastal Waterway, as well as various cultural attractions, sought-after restaurants and state and county parks. Palm Coast is recognized for its mild winters, quality health care and great shopping.
Leisure Activities/Sports
- Palm Coast is home to golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player. Members of the Grand Haven Golf Club enjoy year-round playing privileges on these courses.
- The Player's Racquet Club in Palm Coast is home to several USTA-sanctioned national events.
- Close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean affords Grand Haven residents the opportunity for surfing, jet-skiing, water skiing, boating, and freshwater and deep-sea fishing.
Inland Attractions
- Located on the Palm Coast Parkway, the Palm Harbor Shopping Village is Palm Coast's first and biggest shopping center.
- The forthcoming Town Center Palm Coast will be located only five minutes from Grand Haven off Highway 100 and will feature numerous shopping, dining and entertainment venues.
- Marineland, the world's first "oceanarium," is known for dolphin shows and aquarium displays. Visitors can even swim with the dolphins!
- The Flagler Auditorium is the region's newest performing arts center, housing a main theater that seats up to 1,000 people for drama, music and dance performances.
- Florida's heritage, including its Native American settlements, the Spanish era mission of the 1600s and modern uses of agricultural farming, are chronicled at the Florida Agricultural Museum.
State Parks and Recreation
- A scenic walking trail leads visitors around scattered ruins of a sugar mill, manor house and workers village at The Bulow Plantation Ruins State Park. It was once the site of a prosperous plantation destroyed during the Second Seminole War in 1836.
- The Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area extends across 145 acres of Flagler Beach, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway. Visitors may enjoy camping, picnicking, swimming, fishing and much more.
- Located in Palm Coast, the Washington Oaks Gardens State Park preserves 390 acres of Florida's original coastal scenery.
